Lice Alert: Outbreaks increase in parts of the country

A professional head lice removal company said outbreaks are up in Philadelphia and parts of New York, New Jersey and Delaware. 

The co-owner of Lice Lifters said spring break is a major time for head lice. That's partly because of the increase in the use of helmets for biking, baseball, and softball.

It's also a time when kids are having slumber parties.

Lice Lifters suggests you check your child's head regularly and use a lice comb once a week during the school year.
