Lifeguards wrap for the 2023 season at Michiana beaches

SAINT JOSEPH, Mich. - As summer ends and a new school year begins, many lifeguards at beaches across Michiana are finishing up their 2023 season.

Sunday marked the last day of the season for lifeguards at Silver Beach in Saint Joseph.

The last day for lifeguards at La Porte’s Stone Lake Beach is Wednesday.

From here on out, beachgoers must swim at their own risk.
