SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After 24 years of business, Idle Hours Bookshop, located in downtown South Bend, has announced they will close their doors and move to online sales at the end of April.
Idle Hours lost their lease due to an incoming renovation of the city’s State Theater.
“We have been looking for years now for an affordable space in downtown South Bend and that is hard to do. There is a lot of buildings that are hard to get into or it is too expensive for us, so we are going to try online for a while and see how that goes. We have an online site idlehoursbookshop.com,” said Josi Doyle, Co-Owner of Idle Hours Bookshop.
The shop will have used books marked at a 30 percent discount until they officially close their doors on April 28.
