Local group kicks off school supply drive

The Discovery Village Childcare Ministry kicked off its school supply drive in an effort to help families with back to school expenses.

The ministry says it needs pencils, backpacks, paper – anything you might see on a back to school supply list.

"Our goal is whatever we can get. We'd rather have it and not need than need it and not have it,” said Gil Michel, who organized the supply drive.

The drive will last all the way up through August.

You can drop off any donations at the Discovery Village Childcare Ministry 540 Carroll Street in South Bend.
