SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Democratic Socialists of America held a protest in front of the Morris Theatre against the Trump administration.
A group of about 50 protesters came together and lined up on LaSalle Street to chant and show off their signs.
Peter Loutzenhiser, the Co-Chair of the Northern Indiana Chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, stated, "We currently, we live in a country where, you know, infinite forever wars are being prioritized over the cost of living for regular Americans, it's not that the money doesn't exist to meet people's needs. It's that the government does not have a political will to do so. What we want people to take away is the one politics is always happening, not just when it is convenient, but also even under the holidays and a lot of stuff will go under the radar, or a lot of stuff, bad stuff can happen if we let it go under the radar. People need to be talking to each other. People need to be learning working with each other."
