Local woman opens selfie studio to inspire others to always persevere
ELKHART, Ind. -- “I felt hopeless, I was not happy, I was homeless and I had nowhere to go, and I just sat back and was like what am I going to do with my life,” says Danielle Howard, owner of Green Queens Selfie Studio.
Three years ago, Danielle Howard made the choice to stand up for herself, and create a new life.
“I worked hard, I am your average everyday person I had to do this on my own,” says Howard. “It is possible to do that, you just have to be motivated and determined enough you want to leave that situation in your life so much and never go back and just do better.”
After surviving homelessness, and domestic violence, Danielle persevered. Now, she is a small business owner, and an inspiration to all women.
Welcome to Green Queens Selfie Studio.
The Elkhart based studio is a place for influencers and people of all ages to come and take pictures. The studio has 7 different rooms, and inside each room there are 3 to 5 photography sets that change with the seasons!
Danielle attributes her hard work and determination to her own daughter who continues to inspire her to keep going.
“Definitely my daughter she is a beautiful bright woman, and she looks up to me. I want to show her you can be strong and powerful no matter what situation the world throws at you, you can do this.”
Today, the moments she is most proud of? The smiles.
“Every time I see a group come in here and they are smiling and laughing and having fun, and I can feel that good energy and those good vibes. I get to say I did this, I did this and that is when I can say when I see the smile of faces of customers I get to say I did this.”
