Lou Ferrigno 'The Hulk' now fighting crime as reserve deputy
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -- A former Incredible Hulk star is putting a badge on and joining forces out West.
Lou Ferrigno, who used to play the character on the TV show, is now a reserve deputy for a California county sheriff's department.
Ferrigno has lived in the area for more than 25 years. He says he wants to help his community the best way he knows how, fighting crime.
"To me it is exciting because this is the real deal, it's not like making a movie,” said Ferrigno. “I take this very seriously.”
Ferrigno was sworn in at a ceremony last week.
