Louisville coach fires back at OSU president

The head coach of the Louisville Cardinals, Rick Pitino, is firing back over jabs the president of Ohio State University made towards Notre Dame University.

Gordon Gee, Ohio State's president, apologized for those jabs Thursday. According to USA Today, Pitino says he isn't accepting Gee's apology.

"He really doesn't know how to tell jokes," said Pitino. "It's a pompous attitude and I have a major problem with him, not with Ohio State."

The AP reported earlier in the week that Gee made derogatory comments about Notre Dame's affiliation with Catholicism.

Gee's comments included one claiming "those Catholics" not being able to be trusted and another saying "priests are only holy on Sundays."

Those comments were made back in December at an athletic council meeting.
