An outstanding holiday weekend is in store for Michiana, with a gradual warmup topping of in the 80s for Labor Day itself. Today is expected to be mild, highs in the mid 70, with some clouds. Southeasterly winds are expected most of today, meaning swim risk on Lake Michigan will be low, and warm, moist air will continue to be funneled into our area. High 70s are expected tomorrow under sunny skies, Labor Day we will likely return to the 80s, just above average for this time of year. Michiana is not done with the fall feeling just yet however, with a cold front sweeping through Wednesday. This will bring widespread showers through the evening and overnight hours and knock the temperatures down into the end of the week, low 60s as the high on Thursday. We do see another warming trend into next weekend, once again returning to seasonable temperatures.
Today: Decreasing clouds, mild. High 74.
Tonight: Some clouds, cool. Low 50.
Sunday: Sunny, warmer. High 78.
Labor Day: Some clouds, warmer. High 80.
