BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- On Saturday, Jan. 10, the Maize and Blue Fund introduced the first annual student athlete's wellness summit.
The summit was attended by student athletes from St. Joe High School and focused on physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
Rick Dyer, President of the Maize Blue Fund, stated, "I know, and we know that, you know, if our goal is to, you know, develop well rounded students to go out into the world, a lot of that is learned in athletic competition. It's how to win, it's how to lose, it's the dedication, the commitment to be a good teammate. You know, those are the life skills you learn through athletics. And so Maize and Blue fund is all about that. And this is just one of the many events that will hold in order to help our student athletes and our coaches."
