Man arrested with fraudulent documents while driving wrong way

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A 26-year-old man was stopped while driving the wrong direction on US 31 Sunday, Jan. 4, before a Marshall County Deputy found that he had fraudulent documentation and arrested him.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, around 8:55 p.m., a Marshall County Deputy stopped a vehicle driven by the 26-year-old Elyin Garcia of Knox. According to the deputy, Garcia had been driving north on the southbound lanes of US 31.

The deputy then found that Garcia was in possession of fraudulent government documents and had never received a driver's license.

Garcia was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged for Reckless Driving, Operator Never Licensed, and Possession of Fraudulent Government Documents.

Garcia was given a cash bond of $505 and a court date.
