Man in critical condition after early morning crash

A 25-year-old man is in critical condition following a bad car crash in South Bend.
It happened a little after 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
The St. Joseph County Police Department responded to a call on Crumstown Highway just west of the bypass.
Patrol officers found a vehicle had struck several trees and the driver of that car was found unconscious.
St. Joseph County Police are still investigating this morning's accident and it is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol are factors in the crash. Blood tests are pending.
