Man in hospital after single car crash

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the area of Birch St. and US-12.

Christopher Alwine, 32-years-old was traveling eastbound on US-12 when he rear-ended Casey Ramsey, 32-years-old from Elkhart, who was turning left on to Birch St.

Alwine was treated for his injuries and transported to Elkhart General Hospital.

This crash still remains under investigation.
