Marine veteran files request for special prosecutor

ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. -- He tried to take a gun into a St Joseph County polling place, but got turned away. He wasn't allowed to vote in the Indiana Primary unless he left his gun locked up in the car.

Now, this Marine veteran is fighting back.

"The right to vote and the right to keep and bear arms are not mutually exclusive."

The Marine veteran filed a request for a special prosecutor.

Clay Edinger wants officials to take a closer look at what happened on Election Day to see if any laws were broken.

On Friday, Edinger filed the paperwork and told us he's taking this very seriously. So seriously, he hired a lawyer out of Indianapolis who specializes in gun-related litigation to take on this fight.

ABC 57's Jason Aubry reports.
