SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
It’s a time to learn more about mental health, reduce the stigma behind it and recognize those in recovery from mental illness.
There are plenty of resources and events here locally that you can take advantage of this month!
The South Bend Empowerment Zone will host its West Side Refresh event Saturday, May 6th from 11AM-2PM at Washington High School.
Mental Health Awareness of Michiana will also host Family Fun and Resource Fair at Howard Park on Friday, May 19th from 4-6:30PM.
Both events will feature food trucks, vendors, activities for kids and families, and mental health resource booths and information.
You can find a list of mental health hotlines and resources at Mental Health Awareness of Michiana’s website.
