Michigan boy finds fossilized mastodon bone

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- A Michigan sixth grader has quite the show and tell--a dinosaur fossil he found by his house.

Officials confirmed it as a fossilized mastodon bone estimated to be 13,000 years old.

The 11-year-old said he and a cousin found it in a stream behind his house.

The boy said he is thinking about working with pre-historic discoveries when he is older.

His family is still trying to decide whether to sell the bone on eBay or donate it to a museum.
