Michigan Department of Health expands mask requirement to children ages 2-4

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced today that it is expanding its Gatherings and Mask epidemic order.

The expansion, which begins on April 26, will require children ages 2 to 4 to wear masks, particularly while in groups at childcare facilities and camps.

The new requirement is recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The expansion addresses the increase in COVID-19 cases along younger Michigan residents.

The mask order will extend through May 24. For more information, click here.
