Michigan lottery winner spotted using food stamps for groceries

MICHIGAN --  A new house and a new car -- that is what one Michigan woman bought after a $1 million lottery win!

But get this -- the winnings apparently weren't enough to cover her grocery bill.

She was spotted using a state-issued food stamp card!

"I thought maybe it was ok, because I'm not working," said Amanda Clayton, the lottery winner.

When asked if she thought that she had a right to that money, Clayton said, "I mean, I kind of do. I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay. I have two houses."

Michigan lawmakers are working on a bill that would keep lottery winners from getting state assistance.
