MICHIGAN-The Pentagon plans to bring home 10,000 more troops from Afghanistan by the end of the year, but in Michigan 1,200 National Guard members are headed to the Mideast for a tour of duty.
More Michigan-based soldiers will start preparing for Operation Enduring Freedom this weekend before going to Afghanistan.
The soldiers will report to Camp Shelby, Mississippi for training.
