Michigan's meningitis death toll reaches 11

MICHIGAN -- The death toll from fungal meningitis is on the rise in the state of Michigan.
An 87-year-old woman is now the state's 11th victim. That brings the national death toll to 40. The state health department said 233 cases have been reported.
The Centers for Disease Control said Indiana has seven deaths and 69 cases.
