Mishawaka man charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled teenager

St. Joseph County Jail MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A Mishawaka man is facing charges of allegedly sexually assaulting a disabled teenager.
63-year-old Rex Lamont Garrett is accused of luring a 15-year-old autistic girl into his apartment at Hickory Village Apartments and then raping her. He faces multiple felony charges.
Detectives allegedly found a camera with photos of the crime inside Garrett's apartment. Investigators say the victim has the mental capacity of a six- or seven-year-old.
Garrett is due in court July 23.
