Mishawaka Merrifield Pool will not open for the 2020 season

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Merrifield Pool will stay closed during the summer of the 2020 season. The decision was made from the guidance of the Indiana State Department of Health concerning public pool safety recommendations.

According to officials, the restrictions and procedures that would have to be in place to maintain public health safety would significantly impact people’s ability to enjoy themselves and get what they paid for.

Additionally, officials say the restrictions would cause an increase in expenses and a loss in revenue.

The splash pads, however, are planned to be open on June 14th in line with Governor Eric Holcomb’s Indiana Back on Track plan.
