UPDATE: MPD reports Dashawn M. Hill was charged with Domestic Battery by Means of a Deadly Weapon, a Level 5 Felony.

Hill is currently held without bond at the St. Joseph County Jail.

Police say Hill allegedly stabbed his ex-boyfriend.

ORIGINAL: MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The Mishawaka Police Department reports officers responded to the area of West Broadway and Clay Street around 2:30 p.m. for an alleged stabbing incident.

Police say a man was found to have suffered a stab wound to his upper arm.

The victim was alert and conscious, police said.

A short time later, officers found the stabbing suspect in the parking lot of the Parkview Terrace Apartments, in the 500 block of East 12th Street.

The victim and suspect do know each other.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said more info will be released at a later time.
