Mishawaka says city code enforcements have been cleaned up

MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- Some Mishawaka neighborhoods are looking a little better.

The city says so far this year 82 of its top 100 code enforcement cases have been cleaned up. It's part of a program called "The Top 100" that names the biggest eyesores in the city.

"We’ve done this for about five years now, and up until this year the success rate has been 66 percent,” says Mayor Dave Wood."Our goal is to have every property in the city compliant with our codes."

Mayor Dave Wood told ABC57 that it’s been more successful this year than in years past. The city says it's cleaned up 4 hundred 59 houses since the program started in 2005.
