UPDATE: Missing 18-year-old in South Bend found

UPDATE: The South Bend Police Department announced at 10:20 a.m. that Evita is now home and no longer missing.

ORIGINAL CONTENT: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In a Statewide Silver Alert, South Bend Police Department announced Wednesday that an 18-year-old has gone missing in South Bend, and the department is seeking information.

The 18-year-old is Evita Garcia, whose family reported her as missing after she was last seen around 4 p.m. Tuesday evening in the 1,500 block of Poland Street in South Bend.

Evita is described as 5'2" and 115 pounds, with black, curly, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink Nike zip-up hoodie, ripped blue jeans, and white and blue Nike shoes.

The South Bend Police Department also notes that there are concerns for Evita's welfare and she may require medical assistance.
