Temperatures suffer a slight bump downward today, only pooling to the mid 20s by the afternoon with generally cloudy skies overhead. Some lake effect snow is possible, but unlikely, in the far western reaches of Michiana later this afternoon. After visiting the low teens overnight, Michiana recovers to near 30 degrees tomorrow and into the mid 30s on Friday. Quiet weather also holds in place until Thursday night when a cold front is expected to help develop snow showers across most of our area; around 1" is generally expected north of US-30 by Friday evening. The snow ends as quickly as it begins, and a temporary change In wind direction allows our area to see the mid 30s for a few hours on Friday before we drop back to near 10 degrees overnight into Saturday morning. The weekend is quiet and feels like winter, although a few snow showers may disrupt the calm pattern on Sunday.
