Some fairly light snow chances return to the forecast, driven by a system that will be dropping lows close to 0. While we are cloudy for most of the day today, some lake effect snow is expected in the evening, around commute time, wrapping up in the early morning hours. Accumulation totals are expected to be around an inch, potentially higher closer to the lake. We wake up clearing and cold on Thursday, with highs barely expected to get out of the mid 20s. Overnight Lake Effect clouds will keep us quote-unquote warmer tonight, but as we clear tomorrow, lows are going to be dropping into the single digits Friday morning, wind chill values that approach zero. While we warm relatively into the weekend, we still stay below freezing for most of the upcoming week. The middle of next week brings our next best chance for some widespread wintery weather.
