MISHAWAKA, Ind.--- Creative Edge Hair Studio is hosting its annual charity bike ride Sunday. The ride benefits Hello Gorgeous, a nonprofit that gives free makeovers to women fighting cancer.
The four hour ride starts at 11. Registration is $25 for riders and $10 for passengers. While the ride is going on, one woman will receive a surprise makeover.
"For seven years, we’ve done this ride to help support these women, but this year we changed it to superhero because we felt like these women are superheroes battling cancer, the bad guys," said Dana Marley, Owner of Creative Edge Studios. "We’re hoping that it inspires people to come out this year."
In addition to the ride, there will be food, activities, prizes, and a silent auction all to benefit Hello Gorgeous.
"Honestly, what they do for women, when these women walk in the door and we surprise them, they might be feeling sad and beaten down and by the time that they’re done with their makeover, the smile on their face says it all and they feel wonderful and feel like a million bucks," said Marley. "It means a lot."
