Muffet McGraw recalls her close call on September 11

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- As more and more people are recalling the events of September 11, a local coach is again being drawn into the spotlight.

Notre Dame’s Muffet McGraw was booked on the United flight 175 that hit one of The Twin Towers, before changing it at the last moment.

To this day she is still the head coach of the women’s basketball team.

McGraw says she won’t be speaking publically about the close call during the tenth anniversary events.

After cancelling a seat on the flight, McGraw road home in a car from Providence with her assistant and Notre Dame’s Men’s basketball coach.
