National Drug Take-Back Day starts Saturday

MICHIANA – The DEA's National Drug Take-Back Day starts on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Indiana State Police and Michigan State Police are both participating in the event which encourages people to dispose of unused medications safely.

Those dropping off medication can put all the pills together into a zip-lock bag and then recycle the empty pill bottles.

The event will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m and medications can be dropped at participating police and fire stations.
