Naxos OD holding training sessions for opioid overdose responders
After downloading the app, a bystander of a person in need of help presses a button on the app and the app searches for trained responders nearby who have naloxone. The responder who answers the call is provided a map to find the person in need.
Anyone can sign up to be a responder. After training, you can choose when you want to be notified of someone in need of help.
The next training session is May 7 at the St. Joseph County Library in downtown South Bend. Training starts at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Click here to sign up - if you can't make it to the May 7 training session - other dates are posted at this link.
