Granger residents share input on proposed S.R. 23 roundabout
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –– The NCAA took another big step in allowing their student athletes to be financially compensated. On Wednesday, the Board of Governors came out in support for a proposal that would grant NCAA athletes the ability to profit off their name, image and likeness.
The proposed rule change would allow student athletes to seek compensation through personal businesses, social media, and endorsements. While the NCAA continues to move forward with this idea on the table, it will still be a lengthy process before there is an official rule change allowing student athletes to be paid through third-party organizations.
