Doctor Braungart-Rieker is a developmental psychologist at the University of Notre Dame.
Her current project examines factors that prevent families from adopting a healthy lifestyle. In particular, low income families with preschool aged children.
The study, which focuses on making food consumption a positive experience, is gaining state wide attention.
On Monday, the University of Notre Dame reported her study was awarded grants from the Indiana CTSI, a statewide sciences institute that partners with Indiana University, Purdue University, and the University of Notre Dame.
