ND's offense might not see much playing time in Saturday's game

The Fighting Irish are preparing to face Navy's notorious triple option offense.

After coming off a bye week and fall break, the Irish are refreshed and rested.

Coach Kelly says on Saturday when they face the Midshipmen, they will face a new challenge with Navy's in-game adjustments that makes their offense difficult to predict.

“That option is very difficult to defend, and seeing that all year in terms of what they do offensively coupled with the fact that they know their system and they executed it extremely, extremely well,” says Kelly.

Notre Dame's offense could see less playing time on the field, meaning fewer opportunities to score offensively.

Saturday will be the 88th straight year Notre Dame will face Navy.

The Irish have won 47 of the last 50 meetings.
