Neighbors saw signs of troubling behavior

MIDLAND CITY, Ala. — The standoff in Alabama continues where a boy snatched from his school bus is being held in an underground bunker.

The suspect's neighbors said they did see signs over the past few years that Jimmy Lee Dykes is capable of strange, menacing behavior. And they have a message for him.

"I hope they get you and I hope you live the rest of your life in prison and you never see the day of light [sic] again," said James Davis.

Officers said the standoff between Dykes and authorities began after he shot and killed a bus driver and took the young boy hostage off his school bus on Tuesday.
