Netflix apologizes for Christmas Eve outage

Netflix apologized on Wednesday for a technical glitch that ruined Christmas Eve movie plans for customers.

The streaming video service was out for most of Christmas Eve. But Netflix said the service is up and running again.

The company said Amazon's Cloud Infrastructure created the outage during what it called terrible timing.

This is the third time this year that an Amazon outage has disrupted service.
