MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. – On Tuesday, the LaPorte County Health Department posted to Facebook the location and hours of a new COVID-19 testing center in Michigan City.

Located in the health department’s Michigan City office on 302 West 8^th Street, the center will test patients Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Appointments are also available every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Testing is free to all and children as young as 2 can be tested with parental consent.

Registrations are preferred, but walk-ins are also welcomed.
