New Jersey governor appreciates Hoosier emergency crews

NEW JERSEY -- Hoosier emergency crews are on the ground across much of the northeast aiding in relief efforts after Hurricane Sandy.

At a press conference, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said their help is definitely welcome.

"The utility companies have continued to reach out to other states for assistance and we're additional linemen and service men from states as far away as Texas and Indiana and even folks coming to in us from Canada," Christie said.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security said just over 100 emergency responders from all over Indiana are working across the northeast.
