MICHIGAN -- Firecrackers, bottle rockets, and even five hundred gram cakes.
They all make a big boom and they all used to be banned in Michigan!
But this year that's all changed!
In January 2012, legislation was passed to allow residents to light fireworks that leave the ground.
Before you could only shoot off fountains.
And this is a big deal for local store owners.
"It may have pros and cons, but like we talked, maybe more people will come to Michigan that didn't wanna shoot because they were afraid of the legalities of it and now they can shoot legally," said store owner Mark Huffman.
If you live in Michigan and finally want to get your fix.
Sky King Fireworks along with many other stores in our area will be open every day until Labor Day.
