New plan to save Indiana's cash strapped schools

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Indiana lawmakers may have a plan to help cash strapped schools, advertisements on the side of school buses.

Supporters say it could save districts thousands of dollars each year.

Critics wonder if the ads would be distracting or if they would send the right message.

Currently, seven states allow ads on school buses.

A senate committee is expected to vote on the bill next week.
