CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the intersection of Barron Lake Road and White Street for a two-vehicle crash around 6:15 p.m., on Dec. 5.

Investigators determined a 44-year-old Kalamazoo man was traveling north on Barron Lake Road when his vehicle hit a patch of ice, losing control and colliding with a vehicle, driven b a 61-year-old Niles man, traveling south on Barron Lake Road.

The 61-year-old driver was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

The 44-year-old driver was treated for injuries at the scene.

The crash investigation is ongoing.
