Niles seeks community input on five-year parks and recreation plan
Niles Parks and Recreation NILES, Mich. -- The City of Niles announced it's seeking the community's input on the Community Recreation Plan, which will serve as a guide for decision making which affects the development of parks and recreational areas while also meeting the needs and desires of residents.
Residents are encouraged to participate in the survey to shape parks' futures.
City officials say community members will have an opportunity to voice opinions on various park amenities, future improvements, and recreational opportunities.
“Community input is vital when shaping the future of our local parks,” said Ann Young, Community Development Director for the City of Niles. “All residents should experience a sense of ownership and belonging when visiting our parks and recreational space – it should reflect everyone’s needs in our community. This survey is an important step in creating a vision for our parks to increase quality of life, encourage health and wellness, and bring community together.”
You can fill out the survey online, which is estimated to take about seven minutes, and will be available through Jan. 11, 2026.
