No injuries in hit and run accident involving bus

The South Bend Police Department is investigating an accident involving two cars and a Transpo bus that happened Friday around noon.

The accident happened at the corner of Cedar and Eddy streets in South Bend.

Police say a beige vehicle was traveling on Cedar Street and ran a red light or went through just as the light was turning green.

That vehicle struck another vehicle and pushed it into a Transpo bus.

There were no passengers on the bus, only the driver was on board.

The gold vehicle fled the scene.

Police believe the beige vehicle may have been either a Ford or Mercury SUV. The bumper left behind at the scene was beige or gold.
