North Linden Avenue fire put out after midnight Thursday

South Bend Fire Department SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department put out a fire in the early morning hours Thursday, with no injuries reported.
The fire department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the 1900 block of North Linden Avenue just before midnight Wednesday.
Smoke and flames were coming out from one side of the house, with fire extending into the basement. Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within 40 minutes.
There were no injuries, and the cause is currently under investigation.
