NORTH WEBSTER, Ind. -- The North Webster Community Center hosted a free showing of the 1986 basketball film, "Hoosiers". Friday night.
The community center features several connections to the movie, namely its barrel-shaped roof, which draws close comparisons to the Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana, where "Hoosiers" was filmed.
Part of Friday's presentation included a Q and A session from Steve Hollar, a Warsaw native who played a significant role in the film.
Hollar enjoys speaking with small-town communities about his experiences with the filming process and hearing directly from people on how the classic film played a role in their lives.
With Friday's success, the community center fully intends to continue holding free movie nights as the summer approaches.
