Notre Dame lawsuit against gov't will not head to court

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- A lawsuit by Notre Dame against the federal government will not head to court on the basis that it's premature.

Notre Dame challenged the constitutionality of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The suit argues religious institutions like Notre Dame shouldn't have to provide its employees insurance coverage for contraception and abortions.

The government is expected to revise the Affordable Care Act to deal with objections based on religious beliefs.
