Notre Dame preps for Ohio State in a top 10 matchup under the lights

SOUTH BEND, Ind – The Irish are looking for a victory over Ohio State after falling to the Buckeyes during the season opener in 2022.

When there’s a big game on the schedule, everyone wants to know the vibes of their beloved fighting Irish during game week.

“Well, it's a lot more stress. That's what it is, right?” said offensive coordinator Gerad Parker.

If it’s true, that makes sense for Parker, in his first year as offensive coordinator, who was only in charge of the tight ends last year.

“I think this is the beauty of high expectations at a place like this. We don't do anything different,” Parker added.

Defensively, the Irish allowed 21 points in the loss to OSU last year, so what’s the difference for defensive coordinator in year two?

“A lot of unknowns last year, I still think there's some unknowns with both teams, but because it is, you know, the first quarter of the season, but, you know, we kind of have an idea where we are,” Golden said.

“I think the biggest thing for me is just going into the game, seeing where we struggled last year, like even just a lot of times first games defensive struggle with tackling,” linebacker JD Bertrand said.

The fact of the matter is, this is a big game for both teams and if the media isn’t making it a big deal, the family and friends of the players are doing it for us.

“I was making a joke with my family right now. I'm gonna turn off my phone. Because this wasn't the case for the last three weeks and now here we are or four weeks and here we are week five and getting 100 texts,” cornerback Cam Hart said.
