Number of American casualties drops in Afghanistan

The number of American killed in Afghanistan is going down.
More than 300 Americans have died so far this year in the war in Afghanistan. That's down from a peak of nearly 500 Americans just two years ago.
The U.S. troop draw down and the expanding Afghan Army is credited with leading to the drop.
There are about 68,000 U.S. forces currently in Afghanistan.
