Beautiful summer day in Michiana
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — Elkhart officials broke ground Tuesday on a $40 million project in downtown Elkhart.
Mayor Time Neese, community leaders, Great Lakes Capital and Martin’s Super Markets broke ground on River Point West, a new mixed-use neighborhood center in the River District.
The River Point West development was commissioned by the city back in 2017.
“I think the overall project is really important for the city of Elkhart and so we’re just excited to be a part of that, “said Amy McClellan, Senior Vice President of Martin’s Super Market. “Certainly with the investment that we’re making we believe our business will grow. There’s a great residential and a lot going on in the community in and around the center and so we’re excited about that.”
The development will feature 172 new high-end apartments, a 42,000 square foot Martin’s Super Markets store and an additional 6,000 square feet of retail space.
