One injured in Holiday Inn Express shooting Thursday morning
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Officers from multiple local law enforcement agencies responded to reports of a disturbance at a Holiday Inn Express hotel on 120 North Dixie Way around 3:20 a.m., according to the Roseland Police Department.
Officers were initially called because it was reported that someone was kicking in a door.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers found that a man had been shot in abdomen area.
EMS responded to provide medical care, and the shooting victim is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.
The firearm used in the incident has been recovered, and officials collected information from multiple witnesses to the event, according to police.
The Roseland Police Department is leading the investigation.
Officials say that the situation is an isolated incident, and do not believe that there is any danger to the community.
